Eagle Support Services,  Huntsville, Alabama        2005
to 2006
While employed at Ft Dix New Jersey, as A heavy
vehicle operator, I was responsible for material handling
and delivery of  repair parts for military equipment,
including weapons systems.  I operated in a safe, and
timely manner. I was responsible for large numbers of
costly items, some being “sensitive”.  I was  involved in
the startup of a new warehouse for use by a new
maintenance contract.

Lockheed-Martin, Edison, NJ                    2000 to 2005
As Engineering technician,  I performed duties as
sample receiver, archive and hazardous waste disposal
technician.  Became familiar with ‘Chain of custody’
procedures, OSHA and RCRA Haz-waste regulations.  
Assisted in characterizing samples for disposal, was
instrumental in the clean up and reordering of the
sample archive and instituted new accounting system.  
Supported the engineering and geology groups in field
sampling efforts, preparing samples (soil, sediment, MW
and ground water) for shipment to subcontract labs. As
sample clerk, verified that sampling is done in
compliance with SW-846 and OSW methods and
Lockheed SOP.  Accomplished other tasks as directed
by the Data validation and report writing group, in
support of EPA Region II and/ or ERT.  Received  
“Lighting” award in conjunction with my work on the
World Trade Center (9/11) response.

AFS, Fort Monmouth, NJ (Science Registry)     1998 to
1998        
Environmental Technician,  I assisted in categorizing
hazardous waste and preparing same for shipment.  I
manned the spill response vehicle.

Lab Support                                           1998 to 1999
      Troy Chemical, Newark, NJ         
Microbiologist conducting bioassay on amended
coatings by using ASTM and ATCC procedures for
determining the effectiveness or need for preservatives
in the clients’ coatings. In keeping with the “Least
Effective Dose” principle.
Species used include, Altenaria Alternata, Aspergillius
sp., Penicellium Sp., E. coli, bascillus sp., pseudomona
sps. and various fungi.

      Chandler USA,  Philadelphia, PA
Assigned to Chadler USA, a chocolate factory in
Paulsboro NJ,  as Quality control, followed cGMP  and
used and Perkin-Elmer Differential Scanning Calorimeter
and Oxford NMR and wet chemistry for chemical
analysis in foods.   Supervised productivity with  
recommendations to floor personnel, based on Lab
results.  Protected food safety by use of analysis and
supervision of GMP.  Inspected raw materials (Cocoa
beans), transport and processing machinery.  Collected
samples aseptically for analysis at outside micro labs.    
Assisted in R&D by applying analytical results to
process machinery.   

Burlington Motor Carriers, Daleville Indiana         1996 to
1997
Tractor-trailer driver, worked with little direct
supervision. Managed time to meet customer deadlines,
while complying with federal regulations.

Soil Microbiology Laboratory, Ithaca New York        
1995 to 1996
Department of Soil, Crops and Atmospheric Sciences,
Cornell University
Duties included but were not limited to, bioassy,
chemical separation, maintaining equipment, and
organization of stores.
Participated in lab-wide haz-mat (OSHA) cleanup, with
classification of chemicals, and identification of
unknowns. Over 400 items were prepared for waste for
disposal. Worked on development of method for
preparing used soil for return to the wild and reclamation
of lab chemicals.
Assisted in bioassay, response to benzene, and DDT
derivative, amended soils.
This effort was aimed at a mathematical model for
predicting the fate of polycyclic hydrocarbons in soil.
Mass balance was calculated with data from mechanical
extraction, soxlet, and Alexander mineralization studies.  
Extracts were purified by roto-vap and identified by
TLC, HPLC, &/or scintillation counter.
