If you've seen my resume, and noticed my
loose affiliation with druid institutions, then
you already have begun to understand
what amateur druid means.  Simply, I'm
not in it for the gold or the credentials,
but just for the knowledge and the
personal relation ships.  I'm here to
remember and celebrate the old ways, and
notice how the changes have changed us all.
I've been attempting to gather persons of

I did not make the item pictured above,
but i feel it reflects all that a druid
should be.  He should be a creature of
memory.  He should embody the Celtic
spirit which strives to hold fast to identity
in a world that is changing every thing all
around him.  After all. We know the face
of this dying Gaul, but what do we know
of his killer?  Nothing.  That identity is
long gone, even as the artist who made
the original statue.

I'm unlike other American Druids since
disagree with Bonewits, who has said that
druidry ought to be a neo-pagan enterprise.

Instead, I agree with those who say many
of the druids embraced the gospel, just as
they did the refugee from Palestine. The
Welsh and Irish texts make that quite
clear.  So it seams clear that removing
Christianity from the retelling of these
stories serves none but those who thrive
on the discord.

On a brighter note, I'm a happily married
man with four beautiful children who seem
to like me.
